Graduation Information

Graduation from high school is an important milestone in the lives of students and their families.  The graduation ceremony is a dignified occasion an a time of celebration. Appropriate behavior will allow everyone in attendance to recognize the achievement of each graduate.  Courteous and considerate behavior will make this a ceremony that all will treasure as a memorable event.

Graduation is Friday, May 17, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the CU Events Center.


Please utilize this page and the links along the left for all things related to graduation for the

RVHS Class of 2019.  


Last day of classes for Seniors will be on Monday, May 13, 2019.

Principal’s Letter



The 2019 Graduation ceremony will be on Friday, May 17 at 10:30 am at the CU Events Center.


***TASSELS ARE INCLUDED IN THE CAP & GOWN PACKAGE***


Students will not receive tickets for Graduation and may bring as many guests as they would like.


Doors will open at 9:00 am--Seating is first-come, first-served. There is plenty of handicapped parking on the west side of the events center, with an ADA entrance to the facility.  Handicapped/elderly guests and their families may use the elevator to access the lower, main floor for the graduates. Seating for handicapped/elderly guests is on the main floor in the first rows on either side of the graduates. A parking garage is also located north of the arena.


The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. sharp and runs approximately two hours long.

The Senior Day Assembly will be on Monday, May 13, 2019 beginning at 8:15 am. The assembly will be with the entire student body and include the Senior Slideshow. The assembly will be followed by Graduation Practice from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m.  Caps & Gowns will be distributed after practice in the Gym. The Senior Picnic is the culminating event for the day, hosted by Student Government and held at a local park from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. To view the full timeline of graduation events, visit this page.


Remember, all Seniors need to pay their fines and their $50 Graduation fee before they will be given their cap and gown at the conclusion of the Graduation Practice on May 13.


Seniors must arrive at RVHS on May 17, 2019 by 7:25 am for Graduation Practice in the Gymnasium.  RVHS Seniors will be bused from the school to the CU Event Center at 9:30 am. Seniors must participate in Graduation Practice and ride the bus in order to participate in the official ceremony.
